Strategic Design
People are trained to analyze and interpret design parameters at a high speed — this is what we call "intuitive perception".
Style guides are essential for the success of a brand's design strategy. Here's a look into the work for Sonova | Audiological Care.

If the parameters of a brand or product meet the expectations of our multifaceted analysis system, or even exceed these expectations, impulses are triggered:
"I like that".
"I want that".
"I'll remember that".
"I trust".
Your advantage:
A meaningful design that is not only perceived as "beautiful" but also understood - in all media.
What is strategic design?
Brands and products communicate through visual and tactile properties. Through the specific combination of shapes, colors, fonts, symbols, images, materials, etc., information is conveyed – people perceive value, benefit, or desirability. Strategic design is the analytical and purposeful development of brands and products. All parameters are adjusted to trigger the desired impulses.
Why should one be so precise in design?
The character and positioning of brands and companies are shaped by strategic design. Customers initially perceive a website, store signage, or packaging without having engaged with service offerings or functionality. Strategic design gives the customer the initial impulse, but also plays on memories or triggers emotions. So, strategic design is the key to achieving a defined goal.
How do you strategically design?
Development always begins with an analysis. The big picture is taken into account. It's about a more universal perspective: By which era was the target group most intensively influenced? What brand and material patterns surround the target group? What colors or shapes appeal to the target group? The list of questions is never pre-fixed. Parameters are prioritized and bundled in such a way that a clear goal is described. After answering the guiding analytical questions regarding the perception of the target group, it's time for implementation. Strategic design is interdisciplinary. Depending on the needs and objectives, various trades work together in the development: graphic design, product design, UI/UX design, photo design, packaging design, architecture, etc. Thus, the result is not based on assumptions, rule of thumb algorithms, or the personal preferences of a designer. The most important principle in strategic design is: Never design for yourself, design for the target group.
The success of design developments often fails because personal preferences are overstated, thus distorting the result. The resulting design might still communicate, but in a language the target group does not understand.
The principle applies to us:
Design follows strategy.
